Canmake Batch Code Location Guide

Find the right Canmake batch code before decoding: check box, bottle, tube crimp, seal, and avoid barcodes, shade numbers, or SKU codes.

Locate the correct Canmake batch code before using the checker. Failed lookups often come from entering a barcode, shade reference, or incomplete print instead of the production lot.

  • Identify the manufacturing lot on the actual Canmake product; its length and layout can differ between items.
  • Start with outer packaging or compact base, then confirm another package area if the print is faint.
  • Use one complete printed string from one location; do not merge box and bottle fragments.

Most likely Canmake code locations

For Canmake, start with the outer packaging. If the outer box is missing, move to the compact base and then the tube crimp.

Check the label around each marking to distinguish the production lot from product references; position and character count alone do not identify a lot.

  • Check the outer packaging under bright side light.
  • Check the compact base under bright side light.
  • Check the tube crimp under bright side light.

Numbers to ignore

Do not enter the retail EAN/UPC product number, shade number, SKU, ingredient registration number, or volume marking as the batch. Some scannable codes contain additional fields; use only an explicitly identified lot field, not the entire scan.

If several Canmake codes appear, identify the production lot from its label and the instructions for that product. Length alone cannot identify it. Keep every mark with its original location and never trim a longer identifier to make it fit.

When the print is hard to read

Embossed or low-contrast batch codes are easier to read with side lighting. Take a photo, zoom in, and preserve leading zeroes, separators, and letter case.

If the box and container disagree, check whether one string is a product reference. Preserve both markings separately while confirming their purpose.

Canmake product and package context

Inspect compact and palette backs, powder-refill trays or wrappers, pencil barrels, mascara and lip-product bottoms, tube crimps, bottle or jar bases, nail-polish labels, and outer film for a compact production mark. MO, MB, ML and other shade codes, SPF50 PA+++, ¥ price, JAN barcode, item number, and launch notice are not batch codes.

Marshmallow Finish Powder is sold with a mirrored compact and as a separate refill, while Mermaid Skin Gel UV is a moisturizing makeup base with UV protection. A powder refill can be newer than its reusable case, and any explicit date or sun-care instruction takes priority over a general production estimate. Minis and limited shades should be checked from their own small packaging.
