Guerlain Batch Code Location Guide

Find the right Guerlain batch code before decoding: check box, bottle, tube crimp, seal, and avoid barcodes, shade numbers, or SKU codes.

Locate the correct Guerlain batch code before using the checker. Failed lookups often come from entering a barcode, shade reference, or incomplete print instead of the production lot.

  • Identify the manufacturing lot on the actual Guerlain product; its length and layout can differ between items.
  • Start with box bottom or bottle base, then confirm another package area if the print is faint.
  • Use one complete printed string from one location; do not merge box and bottle fragments.

Most likely Guerlain code locations

For Guerlain, start with the box bottom. If the outer box is missing, move to the bottle base and then the product base.

Check the label around each marking to distinguish the production lot from product references; position and character count alone do not identify a lot.

  • Check the box bottom under bright side light.
  • Check the bottle base under bright side light.
  • Check the product base under bright side light.

Numbers to ignore

Do not enter the retail EAN/UPC product number, shade number, SKU, ingredient registration number, or volume marking as the batch. Some scannable codes contain additional fields; use only an explicitly identified lot field, not the entire scan.

If several Guerlain codes appear, identify the production lot from its label and the instructions for that product. Length alone cannot identify it. Keep every mark with its original location and never trim a longer identifier to make it fit.

When the print is hard to read

Embossed or low-contrast batch codes are easier to read with side lighting. Take a photo, zoom in, and preserve leading zeroes, separators, and letter case.

If the box and container disagree, check whether one string is a product reference. Preserve both markings separately while confirming their purpose.

Guerlain product and package context

Inspect perfume bottle and carton bases, fragrance-refill bottles, jar and pump undersides, tube crimps, compact backs, mascara and lip-product bottoms, and the base or wrapper of each refill for a compact production mark. Scent intensity, shade number, SPF, milliliters, engraving, product reference, barcode, and the serial or style details of a Rouge G case are not formula batch codes.

Aqua Allegoria and Shalimar may be sold in refill formats; Rouge G and KissKiss separate a reusable case from a lipstick refill; and Orchidée Impériale Black treatments can contain several vials or weekly formulas. Check the consumable refill or every vial independently instead of dating the reusable case, decorative bottle, or outer ritual box.
